As previously noted on this website we had planned to have a presentation night to announce the 2011 Club Member Champions and celebrate the 2011 racing season.

After many attempts at planning the presentation night, and many postponements, we've decided that it's never going to happen! 

So without further hesitation, here are the top three 2011 BADRC Members Points Champions.

Trophies will be presented at a coming BADRC race-meet, the date will be advertised here.

All other points results have been added to the  'Club Members Points' page of this website, with Members highlighted in yellow.

As most will know badRC will be conducting a round of the ORRCA Vic 2012 Drivers Series, and we thought we best recognise the results of Bendigo's racers in the 2011 Series after some collected their kick-arse trophies recently:

A Bendigo crew consisting of El Prez, Boxhead, Ralph from the Simpsons, and Bam Bam & Pebbles headed down to race in Keilor RC's two day Stock Shoot Out, with the very valued support of Woo Hoo and a cameo from the Rok.

The Stock Shoot-Out is a great race-meet for all 1/10th electric classes, with the restrictions of stock motor and esc options in place of course, and attracted over 70 entries from all across Victoria, and interstate also.The idea is to make for some close racing, with the emphasis on car setup rather motor turns.

The event kicked of on Saturday afternoon, with the qualifying rounds concluding just before 5pm and racing commenced early on Sunday morning with Finals for A-Main Classes having 3 rounds, and B & C Classes having 2 rounds.

Tyre choice proved to be a major topic of the race-meet, with the combination of the high traction surface coupled with temperatures hitting the mid 30's proving tough for those that brought super-soft compounds.

The facilities at Keilor are top-notch and proves what an advantage having power and water would be. But it's not just the Rc Track. The entire facility is very well laid out including multiple sporting fields, sealed car parking, club rooms with toilets, kiosk and bar, plus other activies for the kids including playground and basketball area. And not to mention the jumbosflying overhead every 10 mins! It is a great set-up that has everything for the family, which as most RC racers know, happy family equals happy racer! One final bonus is that the track is only 5 minutes from the Calder, making it a simple and easy trip from The 'Go.

A lot of the guys asked me to make a special thank you to Adam at Pro Racing RC for his parts and technical support. Details will be provided shortly on this new local hobby business.

We are having a small (and hopefully quick) working bee on Saturday the 4th February at 3pm.

We're wanting to tidy up the container, clear all the track and surrounding area of weeds, and hopefully make some small changes to the track to allow the Short Course Jam track to work without having to jump over piping. We may even get some painting done on the inside of the container if anyone knows a painter.

We haven't got a long list of things to be done, but it would still be great to have a few more hands there to help out other than the usual few helpers.
