The BADrc Commitee have agreed on the new Badlands Raceway track layout, and here is an approximate diagram of it!

As you can see flexibility was a major influence in the design, meaning we'll be able to change the layout to suit specific classes very quickly and easilyasour Club continues to grow.

 Specific racing lines have not been finalised, and placements of jumps etc. will be determined once the layout takes physical form.

Demolition of the Badlands Raceway track commenced on the28th August 2010.

It was great to see so many people there helping, especially the Bobcat team of Chummy, Mick, Boxhead & Jeff who completed a huge amount of work. A massive thankyou must go out to Michael Mancs for donating his time and equipment, his expertise was invaluable. It was truely amazing how much work was done with two Bobcats.

We have removed a huge amount of dirt and rubble and dropped the level of the track quite significantly in order to make it safer for spectators, and followed the natural lay of the land to assist with water run-off.

By levelling the entire area and pushing the dirt right to the fencing, the most pleasing and surprising aspect of today's exercise has been the amount of area regained inside the fenced area. The photo below does not do it justice. The area looks absolutely huge!

BADrc Committee member and Bad Habit Hobbies sponsored driver Scottie '2 Hottie' Rawlings has made the trek over to Adelaide with some fellow Bendigo racers to compete in the South Australian On-Road State Titles, in readiness for the National Titles to be held here in Bendigo in November.

Scottie will be keeping us up to date both here and via Facebook. All the best mate!
